Darnley
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Darnley was the father of King James I. (PROSE: Girl Power!) When James was a baby, his father was killed by James' mother, as James would later claim. James was therefore raised by regents. (TV: The Witchfinders)
Uncovering Missy's plan to befriend several Tudor women in an effort to prevent James' reign, the Twelfth Doctor suggested, amongst other methods, that she intended for James' mother to get rid of Darnley before they "did the dirty". (PROSE: Girl Power!)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
In real life, James' father was Henry Stuart, Duke of Albany also known as Lord Darnley. He was portrayed by Timothy Dalton in the film Mary, Queen of Scots.
