Dimitri Arkanovitch was a Russian billionaire who had ties to the Russian Mafia.
In the 1970s, Arkanovitch hired a private investigator to locate an alien artefact. Once the investigator had done so, Arkanovitch had his criminal contacts steal the artefact, then had the investigator killed to cover his tracks. By 2008, the artefact was on display in the atrium of Arkanovitch's hotel in Cardiff City Centre.
