In early 2005, Dinah wrote to the conspiracy website Doctor Who? about an encounter they had with the Ninth Doctor at a local tip several years prior. Dinah witnessed the Doctor disposing of various items, including a flute, a velvet jacket and a long scarf. Upon being asked about the items by Dinah, the Doctor explained that he was having a clear out, further adding that he never really liked cricket either. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)
