Donald Pleasence was an actor who featured in The Great Escape. His character was shot at the end of the film. This part always upset Bernice Summerfield, who wanted a remake in which he survived. (PROSE: The Pit)
He also portrayed Lucas Deranian in the film Escape to Witch Mountain. The Fourth Doctor presented a clip of his performance while hosting Disney Time. (TV: Disney Time)
