Eldridge Brinkwood was a writer of ghost stories and often read them on radio. He was rescued by the Eighth Doctor after seeing a strange creature in the radio station and took them to Audacity Montague and Charlotte Pollard. He inquired about the creature. He worked out when in the past Audacity came from an accidentally told her about the war that was going on.[statement unclear] He took them to his former lover's, Marcello Strange, house.
