Failure of the San Grael[[edit] | [edit source]]
Entarodora secretly allied with House Lineacrux to lead in a voyage beyond the Spiral Politic to harvest material from a Leviathan. She chose the name "The San Grael" for the ship she would captain out of the Politic. Then, she began recruiting a crew; first selecting individuals from her coteries, but eventually expanding into inviting all the "disaffected and disloyal" within the Great Houses.
Entarodora betrayed Lineacrux and took complete control of The San Grael. She kidnapped Captain Tancreevee of The Brakespeare and launched The San Grael through the Grandfather's Maw to the great void between universes. It was her goal to leave behind the War and colonise a new universe where she and her crew could become gods.
However, The San Grael met with a doomed fate. It became embedded in the side of a Leviathan and reached the end of its lifespan. As the ship experienced a burning apocalypse, Entarodora cut her hand and used the blood as a scrying-anchor. She projected her consciousness into Mictlan and negotiated with Dervishage to get him to act as her agent on The Brakespeare. She hoped to have The Brakespeare come close to The San Grael so that she could escape her ship and take over The Brakespeare.
As The Brakespeare approached The San Grael, Entarodora manifested herself on The Brakespeare as an ethereal woman wearing a yellow bridal veil. The veil was there to cover her horrific skin, charred by the destruction of The San Grael. Mistaken to be a ghost, Entarodora manipulated many inhabitants of the ship, turning them against Captain Robert Scarratt and loyal to her. Although she tried, she failed to entice Philetes to support her.
Entarodora left The San Grael in a boat-shard with the reanimated corpse of Tancreevee. They boarded The Brakespeare shortly after the Cancer Empire launched an attempted take-over of the ship. Entarodora took control of the Bridge in the chaos. She then began broadcasting her manifesto to the crew of her new ship, intent on continuing the mission she began with The San Grael. Shame in the War[[edit] | [edit source]]
Entarodora was disavowed by House Lineacrux and stripped of her authority following the The Brakespeare's voyage. Though still allowed to contribute to briefings at the behest of other Great Houses, her ideas and comments were regarded as "speculative at best, and spurious if not treasonous at worst." She kept herself happy by wearing dresses from Thierry Mugler's La Chimere Couture Collection and by "taking a large number of paramours and abandoning them in different aeons." (PROSE: The Book of the Enemy)
Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Book of the War came to the conclusion that Entarodora had a "tremendous desire for control" and an "instinct" to always have the last word. (PROSE: The Book of the War [+]Loading...["The Book of the War (novel)"])
Beliefs[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the "Monsters" Coda, Entarodora theorised that the Houses deliberately mythologised their enemy as nameless "Monsters" because if they just named the Enemy as a specific time-active faction or fallen House, they would ignore the enemy until it defeated them.
Entarodora believed that the War in Heaven would be ended by either the entire War's retroactive annulment, or a victory for one side so complete that it would become history. (PROSE: The Book of the War [+]Loading...["The Book of the War (novel)"])
In her lecture "The Cultural Impact of War-Time", Entarodora noted that more Homeworlds had been lost "than might be thought prudent". She argued that the total number of War-time deaths by Great House members was nonetheless small because the inhabitants of these other Homeworlds were "mere-sheath echoes" of a "core probability".
