Finnda Twisk was a member of Bernice Summerfield's expedition, working as her assistant. She was four months pregnant which explained to Benny why she was feeling ill. The Ninth Doctor asked her to escape the planet with Benny. She wanted to follow Benny's example of being a working mother.
