I'm currently dealing with a piece of media that introduces prequels and audio commentaries as in-universe concepts. So, what do I do here; do the strictly real-world pages on these subjects get reworked to cover both perspectives, something else? WaltK ☎ 00:34, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
Discussion[[edit source]]
Could you elaborate? Are these prequels/audio commentaries related to an N-Space equivalent of a DWU franchise, or just some sort of media franchise generally? Najawin ☎ 00:41, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- This in-universe depiction of the real world Series 7 DVD boxset lists "prequels" and "audio commentaries" as special features. WaltK ☎ 01:19, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- Same issue with producer; there are producers in the DWU but that page is about the real world concept. Currently the page is producer (job) for the in-universe concept.
- T:DAB IU doesn't apply here as these aren't in-universe counterparts of actors or such, they're in-universe concepts, and I would heavily oppose page names like producer (in-universe), audio commentary (in-universe) as this Wiki is, first and foremost, an in-universe one. 01:31, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- I mean, really it comes down to whether we think things like "audio commentaries" are naturally going to exist outside of this context in other DWU sources. If they never do, then for all we know they are IU counterparts of RW DWU related things. (Material implication, that is.) I think we can reasonably argue that "prequel" has been used elsewhere and it just hasn't been documented. I'm just not sure about "audio commentary". Najawin ☎ 01:50, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
