Gareth Arnold was a dentist who operated Trumpington Street Surgery.
In the early 1970s, Arnold uncovered a Cyberman ship that had crashed in Cambridge many years beforehand. He experimented with the technology that had survived and, using Cybermats, attempted to convert all of Cambridge. He was stopped by the Third Doctor and Liz Shaw, who was almost converted.
