George Litefoot's father was a brigadier general in the punitive expedition to China of 1860. Afterwards, he lived in Peking as a palace attaché until his death in 1873. The people set off fireworks at his funeral. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang) On 11 January 1894, George Litefoot had a dream that he was taking tea with his father, who referred to his son as "sir" and insisted on standing up in his brigadier general's uniform, despite his son's protestations. The dream was interrupted by a knocking at his door, which turned out to be the Eighth Doctor and Sam Jones. (PROSE: The Bodysnatchers)
