Grig was a Therovian who was sent on a mission by the President of Theros to find a cure for the disease afflicting his people. A meteorite storm forced his ship down onto a barren asteroid, where he was discovered by the First Doctor, John and Gillian. They helped him repair his ship, narrowly escaped the dinosaur-like creature that attacked it, and returned to Theros, where they learned from Wopan that a cure for the plague had been found on Ixon. They travelled there, collected it and returned, saving the Therovians. Grig was made a member of the Grand Council, then returned his new friends to the asteroid where the Doctor's TARDIS had been left behind. (COMIC: The Therovian Quest)
