A guard guarded the gate to Lord Ravensworth's land in Killingworth in the 19th century. He helped search for Jack Ward and several other miners after they attacked the Sixth Doctor.
He later rescued Peri Brown from one of the aggressive miners. (TV: The Mark of the Rani)
