Heinrich O'Donnell

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Heinrich O'Donnell was a member of the Waffen-SS during the 1930s and the Second World War.

In 1933, he met Englishwoman Sylvia O'Donnell in Germany. The couple eventually married. Heinrich took Sylvia's surname due to the rise of anti-German sentiment in Britain.

For a time, Heinrich was stationed at the prisoner of war camp at Colditz Castle.

Heinrich and Sylvia's relationship left the former with fascist sympathies and a resentment towards the war. Sylvia believed that the United Kingdom and Germany had been on very friendly terms and that Winston Churchill had no business entering Britain into the conflict. (AUDIO: A Thousand Tiny Wings)
