Helm Island

Helm Island was the island in the Shadow Isles where 22nd century human colonists first landed on the planet Avalon. By the 30th century, the island was home to a huge glass structure atop which sat the Prydwen and Merlin's Helm. In 2145, one human colonist who sought to save their fellow colonists by using helm to erase all knowledge of the Earth gods which had been created by the nanobot system on the planet using the fantasies of the colonists. Before his death from using the helm, the colonist also created the large glass structure to try to keep the dangerous helm from falling into the hands of any other colonists.

In 2991, the First Doctor and Ian Chesterton retrieved the helm from the top of the structure along with Sir Bron of Westhold and Alammar. Competing for the helm was Shannon and his company. (PROSE: The Sorcerer's Apprentice)
