In the 1970s or 1980s, Stangmoor Prison prison governor Victor Camford was subservient to the Home Office. The Third Doctor's recommendations regarding a ban on the Keller Machine process were given to the Home Office by Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. (TV: The Mind of Evil)
John Frobisher was the Permanent Secretary to the Home Office until his death in 2009. Under him was senior Home Office official Bridget Spears. After Frobisher's death, Spears used the Home Office files to compile evidence against Brian Green, the Prime Minister. - In 1975's parodical Hallo My Dalek, the Brigadier has to answer to Home Office, who are irritated by the Doctor's tendency to keep his TARDIS parked in unlikely places in London, such as atop the Post Office Tower or in the middle of the throne room in Buckingham Palace.
