Hugh Gaitskell

Gaitskell was a British politician who served as Leader of the Opposition in 1959.

During Prime Minister's Question Time, Gaitskell had an angry exchange with the Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan, over the crashed Waverider rocket. After he asked if there was any intention to place an advanced surveillance device into orbit, Macmillan angrily accused him of playing into the hands of Soviet propagandists.
