Ig

Ig "the Scrawny" was a Neanderthal who became the leader of what was much later named the Tribe of Oy.
Circa 200,000 BC, he offended the tribe head, Og, by eating his coveted papaya, leading to a fight between them that Ig was destined to lose. This was interrupted when the Doctor's TARDIS landed uncontrollably, with Donna Noble exiting and shouting "oy" to break up what she saw as an unfair fight. Ig took advantage of Og's moment of hesitation to knock him out, becoming tribe head by default.
Ig gratefully started bowing before Donna, copying her cry of "oy", leading to the rest of the tribe doing the same and remaining that way until at least the 19th century. (COMIC: Untitled [+]Loading...["Untitled (DWM 598 comic story)"])
