In a history in which the Eleventh Doctor did not discover the Ironside Project, Winston Churchill was pressured by Harry S. Truman and Joseph Stalin into allowing the Ironsides to be destroyed by American nuclear weaponry; in an operation broadcast live across the globe, the first test of the atom-bomb took place on 7 February 1943 on the Isle of Man, the blast vapourising the Ironsides.
