Jack was a criminal who worked for Ava Drake. He and Bernie helped the Eleven in his plan to steal the Arch.
Jack and Bernie entered the Under Gallery with the Eleven and attempted to steal the Arch using teleport limpets before the Time Lord realised that it was a hard-light facsimile. They entered J. M. W. Turner's painting of Hampton Court Palace with Jacqui McGee as a hostage and fell into a bottomless pit. (AUDIO: The Curator's Gambit)
