Mrs Colquhoun was the mother of Jamie and Jeanie Colquhoun from Paisley. When World War I began in 1914, Jamie immediately enlisted. He and many other men left for the battlefields of the Great War. When landlords started hiking up the rents, she with her daughter participated in the rent strikes that were ultimately successful. (COMIC: The Weeping Angels of Mons)
