Joe Hargreaves, along with his wife, Jackie Hargreaves, crashed his car on the A48 while driving home to Cowbridge. He and his wife became the first victims of "The All-Night Zombie Horror Show".
The pair had been visiting their friends - Mike and Sue Roach - in Llandaff, but got lost after hitting a fog bank on their way home. Blinded by the fog, Joe collided with a figure and span out of control.
Unable to get a signal on his mobile phone, Joe left the crashed car in order to get help and check on the person he'd hit. Jackie, trapped in the car, heard him scream from somewhere in the fog. (PROSE: Bay of the Dead)
