Josephine, or Jo, was an elderly woman with blonde hair present at a climate change protest on Waterloo Bridge at Easter, 2019. She offered Hobo Kostinen a mug of tea and asked him and Lucy Wilson where they were from. (PROSE: The Llanfairfach Rebellion)

Josephine is a clear allusion to Josephine Jones, a known environmental activist, but the connection is never fully made. Furthermore, the reprinting of The Llanfairfach Rebellion changed her name to just "Jo", the more commonly used name.
