Giles later contacted "the other organisations", including the J.D.S., when Maxie Masters fell prey to an unidentified, potentially deadly alien sickness, hoping one of them would have some medication in storage that was suitable for her Gendar biology. In the end, however, whatever help the J.D.S. could have provided did not have to come into play as Maxie was cured the very same night.
