Kest's spaceship
Kest's spaceship was a Krattorian craft which was active in the mid-2060s.
In February 2065, the ship entered Skaro's atmosphere, a fact picked up by the Daleks' Electron Displacement Recorder. (PROSE: Fireball Surrenders!, COMIC: Power Play) The Golden Emperor ordered the magnetising of the surface's metallic sand in response, which concealed the Dalek City from Krattorian eyes. Once they had landed, Kest commanded the slaves aboard to collect this "fortune" of sand. However, the ship's instruments quickly ran into difficulties due to its magnetic properties. This forced Kest to give the slaves a rest while he attempted to rectify the issue, which the Daleks used as an opportunity to capture the slave Sala, who was taking a stroll outside the ship. The Golden Emperor successfully convinced her that they were sympathetic to her plight and wished to help her overthrow her Krattorian masters. Enacting their plan, Sala (with Astolith in tow) lured Kest and a couple of guards away from the ship and into the mountains, where Sala believed the Daleks to be waiting. The Daleks, never intending to assist Sala, used Kest's absence to massacre his remaining Krattorian guards, steal his ship, and imprison the rest of his slaves inside it for their own future use.
The Daleks scoured the ship for information which might reveal the secrets of space flight to them but they only found construction details, not anything pertaining to how to make it fly. They later captured Kest, who promised to show them how the ship worked in return for seeing Sala and Astolith (who were at large somewhere within the City) destroyed in front of him. The Daleks never found the two escaped slaves, however, as they circled around and re-entered Kest's ship via an open escape hatch. Sala and Astrolith proceeded to free their fellow slaves and prepare the ship for an immediate take-off, which they achieved, killing Kest, Andor and a few Daleks.
Before Andor's death, he had supplied the Golden Emperor with papers from the ship which contained the missing links the Daleks required in order to develop a space program, thus giving them the means to conquer other planets and ultimately rule the Universe. (COMIC: Power Play)
