Mrs. Remington, (TV: Silver Nemesis) according to another source named Lavinia P. Hackensack, (PROSE: Silver Nemesis) was a wealthy American woman who travelled to England in 1988 to learn more about her ancestors.

Mrs. Remington lived in Virginia (TV: Silver Nemesis) or Connecticut. (PROSE: Silver Nemesis)
While Mrs. Remington was travelling in her white Lincoln Continental limousine on 23 November 1988, she picked up Lady Peinforte and Richard Maynarde. Lady Peinforte recalled how she had poisoned Dorothea Remington, one of Mrs. Remington's ancestors, but she thought that Peinforte had researched her family tree. (TV: Silver Nemesis)

- An untransmitted scene in part three, which appeared on the extended BBC Video release of Silver Nemesis, featured Mrs. Remington taking a photograph of the departing Nemesis.
- The role was originally a man named Milton P Remington. John Nathan-Turner hoped to interest Larry Hagman in the role, having been put in touch with Hagman's representatives by Kate O'Mara. When this didn't pan out, the role was rewritten as as woman and Dolores Gray was cast.
