Light Keeper

The people formerly known as Light Keepers or Beacon People were humans dedicated to keeping the Lux contained within the Beacon, their ancestors having sealed them in there. They lived within the Beacon, digging across the planetoid to make Lustre panels for the Lux's prison.
The Eleventh Doctor and Dorium Maldovar entered the Beacon by stealth and, after saving Plume's life, were taken by Captain Tallis to the head chamber where they learnt about the Light Keepers' purpose. Following the Lux's defeat and the toppling of the Beacon, the Light Keepers no longer wished to be known by that name. They assisted Dorium in repairing the Maldovarium and Plume became his deputy.
