Luke was a resident of Cardiff's Fenmere estate in 2008. After stealing Toshiko Sato's bag, Luke, Mickey and Jude searched through its contents and found a Rehabilitator.
Luke felt bad for Danny Dillard because he had an abusive father, something Luke related to since his own father had been to prison three times. When Danny saw Luke and his friends smoking weed at the community centre Luke gave Danny the Rehabilitator, believing it to be a kaleidoscope.
