Colonel Marc Forest was the first head of the Space Security Service, or SSS. He was likely appointed to the position because of his reputation for sound military strategy and his past as a space pilot. He used the SSS master computer Compuvac to select the agency's initial department heads. He assigned Sara Kingdom the mission to make shift the Daleks' objective of invasion from Earth to Barzilla.
