Mary McBride was an ancestor of Patricia McBride. She did laundry for people to get money for their rent. She looked after the Sixth Doctor after he fell in the street. She told Melanie Bush about Patricia. The Doctor told her to go to the roof, but later sent a horse with her husband Patrick McBride to get them to higher ground.
