Medra was a scientist in the Coulton Salt Mine. She showed the First Doctor and Dodo Chaplet her work, including a mysterious shell. She studied extremophiles which led her to the geological quiet zone. The Doctor asked her to be a custodian over The Miniaturist (AUDIO: The Miniaturist)
