Mellium
Mellium was the daughter of the Commander of the Ark in the 57th Segment of Time.

Mellium pleaded with her father, the Commander, when the Guardian Niash was sentenced by him and the Monoids to 700 years of miniaturisation for putting their entire civilisation in danger by inadvertently failing to check the sealing valves aboard the Ark properly. But the Commander told her he was pledged to protect the human race and Niash had to be punished; and proceeded to carry out the sentence, which was the lightest he could impose.
Mellium befriended the First Doctor and his companions when they arrived on the ship. She took Steven and Dodo on a tour of the ship, showing them the statue under construction.
When humans and Monoids began dying from Dodo's cold, Mellium helped defend the Doctor and his companions during their trial. She believed they could find a cure for the common cold virus they had accidentally brought. She took care of Steven when he caught the cold. (TV: The Ark [+]Loading...["The Ark (TV story)"])
