New Eden was a parallel universe to that of the Doctor's. Notably, this universe lacked any non-human species, only being inhabited by a race of posthumans called Capsuleers.

As a consequence of Gallifrey being destroyed in the Time War, (GAME: The Interstellar Convergence, TV: Rose, et al.) "chronological complications" meant that Gallifrey and many artefacts appeared in a region of New Eden. The denizens of this universe used the displaced artefacts as clues to lead them to the Daleks, before doing battle with them. (GAME: The Interstellar Convergence)
