Although unstated, A letter from the Master [+]Loading...["A letter from the Master (short story)"] makes reference to News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch's former multinational media organisation until its split into News Corp and 21st Century Fox in 2013. The short story implied that Murdoch controlled the company on behalf of the Master.
Holdings of News Corporation included the newspapers The Sun, The Times, The Sunday Times, and News of the World, the news channels Fox News and (partially) Sky News, and the Australian edition of GQ, although no connection has ever been made in DWU media.
