Niagara Generator

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Niagara Generator was built by Nikola Tesla at Niagara Falls. It powered an entire city. Bill Tallow and an unnamed foreman worked there.

When Nikola Tesla saw the Niagara Falls for the first time he was inspired to built his Niagara Generator. In 1903, he held a presentation for the inventors, asking for an investment of 50000 dollars, but they were not willing to pay him. The presentation was interrupted when Bill Tallow was killed by a machine that had some of its parts missing.

Making a speech in front of The Edison Electric Illuminating Company, Thomas Edison said that the Niagara Generator should be shut down for the public safety. The Thirteenth Doctor jokingly asked whether he wants to built an Edison generator in its place. (TV: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror)
