Olaf (The Battle)

King Olaf of Norway was a Viking. On 9 August 991 he and a band of Vikings were present on Northey Island, preparing for a raid of Maldon. There, they met Abby and Zara, thinking they were Valkyries.

Olaf and his Vikings won the battle, and continued to raid the coast of England until King Aethelred was forced to pay them in gold to go away.

Following these events, Olaf coverted to Christianity, and became King of Norway. He died in 1000 in the Battle of Svolder, thought to have drowned. (AUDIO: The Battle)
