Parasite (Serpent's Child)

An alien energy-sucking parasite resembling a golden scaly worm bonded with Charlotte Sydney for a considerable period of time in the 1970s.

The parasite "crawled right into her" and curled around her spine, where it began sucking Charlotte's energy. The parasite almost killed Charlotte, but she was saved when an elderly man died in Sydney Seaside Lodgings. The parasite fed off of the man's energies instead of Charlotte's; this made Charlotte's parents, Thomas and Mary Sydney, realise that they could prevent the parasite from hurting Charlotte by feeding it with freshly deceased bodies.

Erimem, Ibrahim Hadmani, and Helena visited the Sydneys' hotel in December 1979 and found Toby's body drained of its energies by the parasite. Erimem and friends confronted the Sydneys and learned of the many murders which had been done to sate the parasite. Helena allowed the parasite to feed off of her own energies; since she was immortal, Helena's energies overloaded the parasite and killed it. (PROSE: Serpent's Child)
