Paul Shearer portrayed Henry VIII in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Recorded Time and Cranton in A Most Excellent Match.
Shearer started as a member of the Cambridge Footlights and was part of the same group as Stephen Fry. Shearer is most famous for being in The Fast Show along with Charlie Higson and Mark Williams. In recent years Shearer has concentrated more on a journalism career.
