The Portal Stabilisation Gateway was a device devised by UNIT scientists to enable human travel through the Time Fracture in a less hazardous way than entering the breach directly, which had caused the disappearance of Robert Dudley. (PROSE: Welcome to Operation Time Fracture) It had the appearance of a dark, ringed "corridor through time". Humans would experience a bright flash of light and brief spatial distortion around them as they stepped into the Gateway. (WC: Tia Kofi Enters the Time Fracture!)
