The pulse resonance chamber, often referred to simply as the resonator, was a device built by the Ninth Doctor. He created it from several parts from his TARDIS, including a quantum stabiliser. It was used first to talk to people who had been deconstructed by the Serapheem, then to reconstruct them after being boosted by the heart of the TARDIS and some artron energy.
