Punishment platoon
A punishment platoon was a type of military unit in the service of Emperor Ludens Nimrod Kendrick Cord Longstaff XLI. Such platoons consisted of servicemen and women who were being disciplined; they were not expected to see much combat on their tours.
One punishment platoon was sent to the abandoned theme park, Hedgewick's World of Wonders, where they fought the revived Cybermen. The group's equipment included five hand pulses, one anti-cyber gun and a planet imploding bomb. After the Eleventh Doctor arrived on the planet, he made Clara Oswald the platoon's leader. Most of the platoon was wiped out by the Cybermen, but at least four survived to be transmatted to the Imperial Flagship. (TV: Nightmare in Silver)

Two non-individualised members of the platoon, namely medic and soldier, were used as playable characters in the Doctor Who: Legacy mobile game.
