Sir Ralph was a member of an upper class family in England in 1738. He prepared for his son John's wedding to his niece Eleanor. He talked about the curse of his family, about if a branch fell from a tree in his land the eldest Doomwood would die. He later died because he was poisoned. (AUDIO: The Doomwood Curse)
