Romolo Nusek
Romolo Nusek was the ruler of Tharn in the late 26th century. He attempted to gain further power by forging evidence of his ancestor Hugo Gamaliel's presence on Stanturus Three, but this was thwarted by Bernice Summerfield, Irving Braxiatel and Nicholas Clyde and he was ultimately killed when the Gamalian Dragon was detonated.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Romolo Nusek was the son of Coplan Nusek. When Nusek took over from his lenient father as ruler of Tharn, Nusek reinstuted the central rule of his ancestors and offered his people no escape from their squalid existence but joining his armed forces. He employed Lanslot Webbe as Head of Internal Security and Mastrov as his éminence grise. Obsessed with his ancestor Hugo Gamaliel, he planned to follow in his footsteps by standing up against Earth's expansionism.
At Mastrov's suggestion, Nusek replaced the Gamalian Dragon with a copy he had Newark Rappare make and intended to garner support and leadership of the Gang of Five by staging the discovery of a Gamalian Dragon on Stanturus Three, proving that Gamaliel had a presence there and thus giving him a claim. He employed Bernice Summerfield and Nicholas Clyde as independent observers to the discovery of the supposed "Stanturan Dragon" and selected Irving Braxiatel as chairman of the subsequent inquiry, holding Benny and Nicholas prisoner after discovering that they broke into his archive. At the inquiry, Nusek accidentally admitted on live vidcast that he was willing to produce forgeries and Benny and Nicholas, called at Braxiatel's insistence, ruined Gamaliel's reputation with the Knights of Jeneve's lies.
Nusek had Webbe capture Benny, Nicholas and Braxiatel and take them to Tharn to be executed. Whilst Nicholas was indeed killed and severely damaged Mastrov in the process, Benny and Braxiatel escaped and caused an eruption. Nusek attempted to rescue the Gamalian Dragon from the lava, but Benny detonated it and killed him. (PROSE: Dragons' Wrath [+]Loading...["Dragons' Wrath (novel)"])
