Roxton Vincey
Roxton Vincey was a human explorer.
In 1877, Vincey travelled to a distant plateau east of Venezuela where he made the major scientific discovery of uncovering a "missing link" in humanity's evolution in the form of a Neanderthal tribe and certain types of megafauna, living peacefully away from modern human knowledge. He witnessed the tribe praying to a goddess totem based on Donna Noble using only the word "oy", leading him to name them the Tribe of Oy as a result, but shortly afterwards saw a species of enormous tortoise begin to attack them, forcing him to retreat.
Later, in 1878, Vincey reported these findings to the Royal Geographical Society, but despite having lantern slides as proof, nobody else believed his story and he was resoundingly dismissed by his fellows. (COMIC: Untitled [+]Loading...["Untitled (DWM 598 comic story)"])
