Seb was the 39th The Blogs of Doom short story and the first to be published in 2021 in Doctor Who Magazine 560. Like other features in the series, it narrated events in the life of a minor Doctor Who TV character before and after their involvement in the Doctor's life.

In this case, the subject of writer Jonathan Morris's attention was Seb from Dark Water and Death in Heaven. However, it also featured Adric when his mind was uploaded to the Nethersphere after his death seen in Earthshock.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Seb welcomes Adric to the Nethersphere after he's vaporised in the freighter explosion. He explains about his recent death and how the boss is keen to meet him again, and that his friends missed him, albeit seemingly briefly. But since Adric was always into sums and logic anyway, they can offer him a way to delete emotions, and his next job could be in cyber...

  • Adric is in Seb's "top 10" of companions.
  • If Adric had succeeded in preventing the freighter from crashing, it would've prevented the extinction of the dinosaurs and evolution of the human race, disrupting the Web of Time.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Seb comments that he's not sure if Katarina and Sara Kingdom count as companions, as they only appeared shortly on the series. However, later stories expanded their statuses as "real" companions.
