Simeon was a Roman Zealot living in the 1st century AD. He advocated less violence against the Roman Empire to achieve their goals than his brother Matthew Basellas. Matthew had him and his wife Rebecca killed for what he considered their betrayal. (PROSE: Byzantium!)
