Slinth
Slinths were gestalt psychic creatures native to Unicepter IV.

The Slinths were discovered to have telepathic powers which were harnessed by Dream Professionals using dream headsets. Unbeknownst to everyone, the Slinths were parasitic and feasted on the psychic energy generated by the fear and terror experienced within the dreamscapes they produced.
When the Fourth Doctor and Sharon Davies visited Unicepter IV, they learnt from Garret Berrace that Lord Veith, his Dreamer Enox and several others had been killed due to an apparent electrical fault within their dreamscape. Despite this, they agreed to entered into Vernor Allen's dreamscape alongside the Berrace family.
The dreamscape turned into a nightmare when the deceased Veith, Scylla and Enox turned up and they were attacked by several creatures including devil birds. After encountering Vernor within the dreamscape, who revealed that he had lost control of the dreamscape, the group were forced to flee from his Slinth Miki which had transformed into a giant beast.
