Sonia Markham (3 July 1938-March 2016) was make-up artist of Doctor Who from The Sensorites to The Smugglers.

Personal life

She was the sister of Petra Markham, who appeared in The Crusade and Big Finish's Graceless series.

Career

After her time as a make-up artist for the BBC, Markham switched paths to women's rights and health issues, and later still trained as a psychotherapist.

Death

She was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, and died in 2016 at the age of 77.
