Sophie Russell was the wife of Felicity. After the two fled, Felicity's father hired Brian the Ood to kill Sophie and retrieve Felicity. Their attempts to fight back against Brian caused them to crash on Atharna.
They were saved by the Eighth Doctor, Katherine Steele, Samson and Craddock.
After Brian left with the Doctor in the TARDIS, she and Felicity decided to stay on the planet for a while to lay low and out of sight. (AUDIO: He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not)
