'''Edvard''' was a scientist creating a machine to eventually replace the [[Integral]]. He didn't see the flaw in his plans when both the [[Second Doctor]] and [[Zoe Heriot]] showed him. He was systematically killing the Integral in order to show the owner of [[Aspen Base]] that the machine worked.
