The Daleks are pleased that they can exact vengeance on the Doctor, but first they make him fix their ship. The Doctor goes along with their plan but tricks them into bolting the TARDIS onto their ship, which he promptly jumps into and uses to fly them to the edge of a black hole thousands of light years away. The Doctor mentioned that if the Daleks were quick enough they might escape, but that it would be a very long way to their or any other galaxy and that he'd just hoped that they had packed a good book.

Chapter 1
The game begins with the Doctor and Amy flying through time and space in the TARDIS. Amy asks where the "Larkhead Streaked" is because she thinks it sounds exotic. It is revealed that she misinterpreted what the Doctor said, which is "Fancy going to the Lake District?". Amy questions why the Doctor wants to go to the Lake District, to which the Doctor replies that "there's lots of reasons to go to the Lake District" and there might be a surprise for Amy, before asking for a screwdriver so he can improve his Sonic Screwdriver. When she gets up, Amy accidentally hits the time de-fibrilating re-bustler, which the Doctor calls the "if you press this, the TARDIS will stop being bigger on the inside than the outside and crush us in 40 seconds" switch. After reassembling his Sonic Screwdriver (which he dropped on the floor, causing it to break), he manages to stop the TARDIS from crushing him and Amy.
